Institute of Internal Auditors
The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ACCA signed a global partnership agreement in November 2005. Under this agreement, ACCA will strongly advise its members that any internal audit work they conduct should be performed in accordance with the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the IIA's Professional Practices Framework.
Under the agreement, the two organizations also agreed to cooperate, collaborate and share resources across their global networks of offices and affiliate bodies.
Members working in internal audit areas may consequently wish to review some of the learning opportunities being offered across North America by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), where ACCA members can receive a 25% group discount for bookings of four or more members to attend particular seminar offerings: http://www.theiia.org/index.cfm?doc_id=883 .
