Many members will perhaps be familiar with Robert Half as one of the world's leading international recruitment agencies and an organization that ACCA has partnered with on various activities for North America in recent years.
Robert Half also have trained and experienced finance professionals on their staff, in their different divisions who are able to provide a range of soft skill CPD presentations that look at trends in the accounting profession, hiring and compensation outlooks, how to build a talented team of professionals, time management and how to develop leadership skills, amongst others.
In order to try and provide greater CPD opportunities in these areas to ACCA members in outlying areas of Ontario, ACCA Canada has arranged for small presentations on ‘Building a Talented Team of Accounting and Finance Professionals' to be held at Robert Half's Waterloo office (to serve members from London, Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph, Chatham, St. Thomas and Cambridge) and at their Burlington office (to serve members in St. Catherine's, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Brantford) to be held at the end of November. These presentations will address:
How can organizations distinguish themselves as a place where top professionals want to work? What skills and specialties should employers seek in applicants? How can they find these candidates? What salary trends are impacting hiring? This presentation addresses these areas, and also provides an overview of the hiring outlook in accounting and finance and discusses proven techniques for successful recruitment strategies.
