The Issue Internal auditors pride themselves in their ability to apply professional training to audit virtually any area of risk within a business. Over the years internal auditors have specialised, notably in IT and treasury, where it has been recognised that the complexities of certain facets of an organisation require higher levels of knowledge as well as auditing skills. As the number of complex areas increases, but internal audit departments remain static or reduce in size, the need to supplement internal audit resources arises if they are to provide the assurance that organisations require over the entire risk management framework. This one-day conference has been designed to explore some of these areas, allowing participants to hear from the experts about the key areas of risk and how specialists can be used in the audit process. This event is aimed at internal auditors at all levels, who are involved with all audit aspects of their organisation.
