The CPD process

It is important to gain as much value as possible from your CPD.  To support you in thinking about the knowledge and skills you could develop, it’s useful to use the ‘CPD learning cycle’.  Approaching your CPD methodically will ensure that the activity you undertake is relevant to your professional circumstances and derives the most value.

The CPD learning cycle is simple and straightforward.  The links below take you through the learning cycle step by step and offer practical advice to help you think about maintaining or developing your knowledge and skills.

  • Setting your CPD objectives
  • Choosing your CPD activities
  • Evaluating your CPD activity
