Business & Climate Change Survey Summary
In 2007, ACCA worked with key strategic partners to bring a conference on Business & Climate Change that addressed the business issues behind climate change and to celebrate the 2007 World Environment Day. Senior Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Dr Amy Khor, was the guest of honour.
In connection with the conference, ACCA also launched the ACCA Business & Climate Change Survey - a survey to assess corporate Singapore 's attitudes to issues of climate change and social reporting. The survey results, comprising of responses from over 500 leading Singapore professionals was released in October to significant media coverage.
A report was released in February called the ACCA Business & Climate Change Survey Summary – Fad or Reality (online publication) which gave coverage of the key results from the survey. The survey report was well received locally and it was also referred to by Dr. Amy Khor, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources in her address at the 2008 Singapore Environmental & Social Reporting Awards (SESRA).
