ACCA's Awards for Sustainability are held in over 20 countries around the world and reward companies for excellence in environmental, social, and sustainability reporting. The aim of the awards is to identify and reward innovative attempts to communicate corporate performance, with the aim to reward transparency. The ACCA Awards judging panel is made up of experts in sustainability reporting, accounting and assurance, and they will be reviewing the shortlist in September 2008 to select the winners. The results will be announced at the awards presentation ceremony to be held on 3 December 2008 at The British Library in London. This event will include speakers who will present on topical sustainability issues. As well as the winners' presentations, the results of ACCA's annual reporting research will also be discussed. This year’s theme partner is the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, who will present their findings on the standard of reporting on Human Capital Management by the 2008 entrants.
